Corporate & Fleet > Driver Counselling

Crashes are related to driver well-being. From time to time staff members, at any level, may require assistance to deal with issues and incidents that may arise out of their employment and personal life that may affect them at work, including their driving.

Many vehicle crashes can be attributed to unresolved personal and health problems, although only the symptoms of these may be the reported causes of those crashes. For example, speeding and risk taking may be the overt indicators of unresolved anger or conflict.

The objective of employee assistance counselling and assessment is to promote the physical, psychological and emotional well being of all employees, thus enhancing quality of life, personal productivity, safety and security.

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a systematic approach to providing a structured, confidential and neutral service to staff members comprising assistance, guidance and direction as well as assessment and counselling, and, in certain cases, referral to other appropriate services.

The provision of EAP services and assistance is also based on the principle that the psychological and emotional health and well being of all employees is an Occupational Health and Safety issue.

Murcotts have specialists consultants available to advise on the establishment of an EAP.  We also have professional counsellors and psychologists to back up our services.

Murcotts has been helping drivers to think smarter, stay out of trouble and get home safely since 1969
